I spoke and the spam community listened.

I currently have a queue of 84 new spam companies to review.  This is the type of publicity that no name blogs like FlashPhilly strive for.

I’m seeing a book deal here, possibly even a Lifetime movie.

It’s time to approve my spam comments

“Comments are the lifeblood of any blog.”

Quote me on that Seth Godin…

From now on I’m approving all comments and re-approving spam comments I’ve gotten since “the beginning”

The spammers and their malicious software took to the time to really find and enjoy my website so I think I they at least deserve a legitimate no-follow link back to their very successful businesses.

In fact, I’ll do them a huge solid and give them legitimate outbound links that should help get all that extra viagra inventory really moving.  My Google PageRank of “0″ should really help get those products to the front of the SERPs.

From now on any spammer who wants a link please contact me via e-mail (or comment spam) with your name, product, short description, link URL, and anchor text you want to appear.  Shit even throw me an image or something I’ll post it in this entry.

For now I’ll post the link and the excellent comments you’ve left.

While this goes against everything I hold dear you can even have my e-mail address: luke@lukemarchie.com

So without further ado here is my list.  These are legitimate services here people, I highly and deeply recommend each and everyone of them.

But really people do not click on these most likely they are adult sites that would get you fired.

Webcam Sex Live

Comment:

A few of the women in the office got flowers,” said Susan. “A lot of them have plans for Valentine’s Day and here we are, two good looking, young, single, and available women alone again without boyfriends. This sucks. Men suck. I hate them.”

My Review:

Webcam Sex Live (http://www.webcamvice.com/) is an excellent adult videocam site that really caters to the guy that needs to “get off on the go”.  The models are simply lovely and their customer service line is top notch.  If my cam goes down at 4am before the big interview I can call them at any time and get things “up” and running.  In addition their comment really made me think about the way I treat women in society and ya know I’m gonna work on that thanks to this comment…

My Review:

Finally I can go to one site and review all the penis enlargement pills out there on the market instead of painstakingly doing my own research.  I mean it’s my penis so I want to make sure I’m making the best choice for ME.

It’s not worth it to snort 20 grams of SteelVein when 1 gram of PermaBone rubbed on the shaft is gonna do the trick so thankfully I can get that kind of vital information at Penis Enlargement Review.

They cover all of the bases when it comes to penis enlargement pills, and I admire their tenacity.  They left well thought out comments on almost all my posts.  Nice job SEO team of The Penis Enlargement Review!

My Review:

With an excellent collection of handbags, Kaibnfixsa is my go to source for all my handbags.  Whether I’m dressing in drag for a night out with the girls, filling my purse with rocks so I can knock out a store clerk and steal more handbags, or even just runnin’ out to the store for a pack of Newport 120′s, Kaibnfixsa has the handbag for the occasion.

7 Day Cash Bullet

Comment:

[...] Luke and Peter Fever | Words of Luke Marchie [...]

My Review:

Thomas Robinson was a retired police officer when he found himself unable to support him and his family.  Thank god we have the internet these days so nice guys like him can make money online fast, Fast, FAST!!!

After becoming “completely devestated” Tom discovered the secret that will allow you to literally make a bullet out of your hard earned cash in just 7 days.

I mean why take the time to mail those pesty debt collectors your checks when you can storm into United Future Collections Agency with a gun filled with cash bullets.  BYE BYE BAD CREDIT SCORE!

While Tom didn’t take the time to do more than copy and paste the name of the post, it’s probably because he’s too busy making millions off the internet while I sit here and slop away for naught.

Again if any other spammers want me to add them to my master list of “companies” don’t hesitate to e-mail luke@lukemarchie.com.

The Greatest Marketing Job Ever (no it’s a scam!) pt. 2

Posted by Luke | Posted in Marketing Scams | Posted on 03-03-2011

And it looks like my efforts to preserve the goodwill of job boards everywhere have started to see some results.  As I went looking through the Craigslist job boards I came across this awesome warning before I could even apply for another job:

craigslist SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERTaffiliate scammers are posting bogus ads promising (nonexistent!) employment, paid research trials, or other compensation, but then notifying repliers that they’ll need to jump through a hoop first, directing them to:

  • background checking services
  • credit checking or reporting sites
  • sites where you are instructed to enter your resume or other personal information
  • sites where you are asked to sign up for a “free” trial offer
  • sites offering training or education
  • sites offering a “system” for making money
  • survey or focus group sites
  • sites designed to deliver malware or misuse your identifying information

all in hopes of earning affiliate marketing commissions or otherwise profiting at the expense of persons seeking employment.

Lots of variations on this scam, but each generally involves dangling (nonexistent!) compensation, and then directing you to a website where you are asked to sign up for something, use your credit card, or input personal information such as your email address.

Continue to web / info design job postings

FUN FACT: If you are able to determine a scammer’s “affiliate ID” and report it to their affiliate marketing program, this will often result in termination of the scammer, and confiscation of the scammer’s ill-gotten gains by the affiliate program.”

Thanks to the commenters on my first Marketing Scam post who have been flagging those ads.

May real job postings prevail!

The search for jobs these days is tough…

Not only are the number of applicants per positions just skyrocketing, but I’m just getting fatter and fatter.

Luckily for me though a “dream” internship appears at MediaMarketingGuru.com.  24 bucks an hour, I can work from home, and apparently this company has some excellent clients.  Now normally I would block out any exact names or email addresses to “protect the innocent” but other than my own, there is no innocence here.

After drafting an excellent cover letter I was happy to get back the e-mail below:

Dear Luke Marchie,

The internship application is due Thursday, February 3rd at 11:59 pm EST. The sooner you complete the application, the higher are your chances of securing this internship.
If you have any questions, then please fill out the application to the best of your ability. Once you are done filling out the application, please e-mail it back to us.

SEEMS PRETTY LEGIT NO?!

While trying my hardest to ignore the fact I had to use my credit card 3 times to start (and then immediately cancel) these free trials I filled out the application with the usual zest and vigor I apply to every facet of my life.  Oh yeah and I included this at the end:

15.  Please add any additional comments here:
As I’m sure you’ve heard before the 3 free trials I need to sign up for makes this application seem a little “scammy”.

While I understand my credit card is not being charged this is the first time I’ve had to use it three times during a job application.

But…on the other hand I understand the need to ween out applications who will just be wasting your time.
Thanks very much and hope to hear back from you!

Now imagine my delight when my job application was not only read, but SO well written I was allowed to progress to round 2.  Now what could possibly be worse than signing up for 3 free trials in order to get a job?

HOW ABOUT CLICKING THROUGH 5 ADDITIONAL ADS IN ORDER TO “SEE HOW WELL YOU CAN ANALYZE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE LANDING PAGES”.

Now…

Many marketing positions I’ve applied for send you to other sites to see how well you can analyze landing pages and the such.  After seeing the electronic crap they are having me analyze (with each link sending me to a site with multiple pop-ups, pop-unders, and 10+ surveys) I did some quick googling and found a couple people sharing my ideas:

http://jobscamz.blogspot.com/

http://www.wahm.com/forum/archive/t-551508.html

My final response (and I’m awaiting a phone call):

Hello Lauren!

So while the first e-mail seemed halfway on the scammy side this is much further into that territory.  It appears your company has found a nice little niche driving desperate job seekers to affiliate sites under the guise of “a job application”.

I did analyze those pages and would be happy to send my thoughts over (they all suck) but please give me a call at 908-451-9052 during business hours (EST) so I can rest assured this isn’t a scam.

If it is, your boss is a genius and I would still be happy to work for you…

Thanks very much.
